A fascinating edit of The Rouge, narrated by Lowell Thomas, shows how raw materials were miraculously transformed into finished 1937-39 trucks at Ford's colossal plant in Dearborn, Michigan. Follow the progress of parts from molten steel to engine blocks, stamped wheels, frames, and other parts. See bodies built and painted, cars assembled, and then completed vehicles shipped to dealers. You'll see rare film showing Edsel Ford as he welcomes his dealers to Detroit for the presentation of the new '37 models. Later, Henry and Edsel introduce the cars and the new economy 60hp V-8 at a press preview.
The 1938 footage includes making Ford tires and plastic parts, assembly lines, comparison of Standard and Deluxe models, interior details, and a visit to the Rotunda to see the full line of models. The Fords, Mercs, and trucks are also shown running on the test track.
The beautifully preserved film continues with the 1939 Press preview of new models and includes a very rare series of color ads that include the Deluxe Coupe, Tudor, and Convertible with people driving them to show how sporty and good looking they are.Running time: 60 minutes, black & white, sound. © 1990, 05 Lorin Sorensen. Our standard UK mainland delivery charge is £5.79 plus vat.

Some Scottish post code regions are excluded from the standard shipping charge, as we get charged extra. (Sorry, not our fault).

Oversized or heavy items will carry a surcharge and will not qualify for standard delivery pricing.

We also ship daily to most EU Countries, plus Australia and New Zealand.

Back Orders

If you order an item that is not in stock, we will delete it from your order and you will not be charged at that time.

(The web ordering system is only a pre-authorisation when you place the order. We do not actually take any funds until we have checked the stock availability for your order).

We will back order the item for you and let you know by email when they come into stock, so that you can place a further order at that time, should you still need the item.

Please note that 95% of our products are ordered in from the USA and pricing can fluctuate daily, therefore the back ordered item may have a price change, which is why you are not obliged to purchase it.

Tax Charges

UK orders include vat where applicable.

Since Brexit, all International orders are not charged vat. so If you order from outside the UK, you will be responsible for taxes, duties and handling fees in your own country.

DHL customs will collect the fees from you, to pass to your government.

It is important that International customers understand they must pay all due customs and duties for deliveries to Europe. We will not be able to refund purchases that are refused delivery to Europe due to unpaid customs charges.

Guarantee

All of our parts are guaranteed to satisfy if used as originally intended. All parts are guaranteed for 90 days to be free of manufacturing defects.

If an item has been found to be faulty due to being incorrectly fitted, the item will not be refunded. In any and all cases our liability shall not exceed the cost of the part purchased.
