V8 Generator

1949-53 Powergen 12v Alternator 8A-10000-12V

12 volt negative earth Powergen Alternator for the later 1949-53 Ford Flathead 8BA engine. (Not for English V8 Pilot)

These high-tech alternators are made to look like a stock generator, but give you the reliability of an alternator.
They all have 90 amps output & idle at 60 amps.

Features a "One Wire" hook up for easy installation.
Huge Amp increase and fits most existing bracketry.
Made from Billet Aluminum for Half the Weight.

5/8" V-Belt pulley. Traditional good looks with all the advantages of a modern, high-output alternator.
Made in USA.

Note, there is NO facility to attach a cooling fan to this unit.

Unless you are using one of our American one wire alternators, all modern alternators require either an ignition warning light or a diode.

If you don't want to install a dash warning light, this diode can be used to excite the alternator into full charging mode.
